The Individuals that we support are our priority. We treat our Individuals the same way we want to be treated. Bridging the gap between our Leadership, our dedicated Staff, our Individuals and our Families. Gemmer Group Home Direct Support Professionals are greatest asset in that they provide the first line of care for the Individuals. We recognize that every individual deserves the right to lead a life of dignity and respect regardless of their level of mental, physical, emotional or developmental functioning. Gemmer Group Home is dedicated to maintaining a viable business so we can continue helping our Individuals reach goals while working on independence. We place an emphasis on valuing every Individual as well as valuing our dedicated staff in which we create an environment that promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in our group home and the community around them.
Goal
Enable our individuals to achieve success and provide a home in which our individuals gain the training where the end goal is to live freely and independently in a less restrictive environment. Gemmer Group Homes continued goal is to bridge the gap between Individuals, Families and those who are providing the care. Our goal is to have trained staff that can help facilitate and manage care for individuals, that will allow them to live as independently in a group home setting. The goal of our group home concept is to provide quality care that meets the specialized needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum and other Emotional, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Gemmer Group Home is committed to providing opportunities that will enable individuals to remain active in their communities by focusing on ways in which we can integrate them and their treatment to live freely and learn with the least restrictions as possible. We place emphasis on the retention of meaningful relationships, the abilities to perform activities of supportive living and basic living skills. We do this while maintaining involvement in social interaction and ongoing leisure activities. Our goal is to integrate the two so that that our Individuals can learn new skills and enjoy life at the same time.
